Best Places to Offroad in Oklahoma

There are plenty of places to off-road in Oklahoma, and this post discusses a few places that will certainly fit your needs. If you want to take a look on your own, click here to see all of your options.

Cross Bar Ranch Off-road Park

If you live in southern or central Oklahoma, Cross Bar Ranch is the perfect place for you. With 6,500 acres of rocky ravines, open fields, and muddy creek beds, Outdoor Powersports has created an inviting experience to off-road.

Cross Bar Ranch is located in Davis, Oklahoma, amongst the incredible Arbuckle Mountains. With options between buying or renting used and new ATV’s/UTV’s, this mountainous escape provides endless opportunities.

You can see their full list of vehicles and prices here. After picking your vehicle, you’re set to explore with stops like Dead Man’s Slide, the Onion Patch, and the Look Out Mountain. If you’re looking for something more difficult, they have plenty of trails that will challenge you. This park includes a general store, a fuel station, a full-service department, and even camping grounds if you want to extend your stay. Even if you’re not near Davis, it is undoubtedly worth the drive.

Rutt-N-Strutt River Ranch

In Lamar, Oklahoma just between McAlester and Shawnee, Rutt-N-Strutt River Ranch has opened their doors to riders and campers looking for a serene yet exciting place to visit. With the option between riding trails or coasting along the Canadian River, you will never get bored at Rutt-N-Strutt.

If you’re looking for a homier place to stay, this ranch is run by the Arthur family who have generously opened up their land to share with others. Rutt-N-Strutt also includes a few camping sites or if you’re looking for a more primitive stay; you can even nestle down next to the Canadian River. They’re known for their breathtaking sunsets and sunrises, so make sure to check out their hiking trails in the morning or even kayak down the river in the evening. The drive there is a little out of the way, but it could be worth it!

Hogan’s Off Road Park

Located in Disney, Oklahoma, Hogan’s Off-road Park offers around 5 square miles of trails and rock structures to explore. Sitting just near the neighboring dam spillway, riders have easy access to open fields or roads less traveled.

This park presents rockier trails that suit just about any vehicle, such as dirt bikes or even rock crawlers. Hogan’s also includes camping sites with 30 or 50 amp electric, or tent camping for a more fundamental experience. After riding all day, you can take a quick drive to Grand Lake to enjoy a picnic at sunset. With Disney being so far Northeast, this park is a better option if you live nearby or in the surrounding area.
